Hey there, I’m Katie Watts. I’m an actor and Singer working and living in Sonoma County.

My theatrical career began in Northern California when I was four years old. I was in a production of Peter Pan, directed by my Mom, Gloria. I hid under the stage for the entire performance. That stage fright soon morphed into a love and passion for theatre. I stopped hiding under the stage and eventually you could not get me off of one. I spent every day of my adolescence working at being a better actor, singer and choreographer. I was fortunate to have a Mom who helped to nurture and encourage that, to teach me.

In 1997 I graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Pasadena California and have continued my career as an actor, singer, choreographer, director, and voice teacher. My love of theatre includes all aspects on stage and off and I earned a BA in English Literature from California State University Northridge in 2008 where I studied Creative Writing.

“I don’t want my life to imitate art, I want my life to be art.”

- Carrie Fisher

I was last seen in the television drama, “Bates Motel” on A&E and most recently played the role of Alex Klein in the play “Church & State” at The Raven theatre in Healdsburg California.

My favorite aspect of Theatre Arts is teaching and directing children and young adults. I have worked as a Choreographer, Director and Vocal Coach at multiple theatres and schools in the Los Angeles area for over 20 years. Theatre can change lives, it changed mine. I believe that Theatre and the Arts should be required in school, as it gives children confidence, strength, communication and social skills. It gives them the ability to discover things within themselves and the world. My goal is to continue to bring theatre to children of all ages and backgrounds and give them the joy that I grew up with. Like the great Oscar Wilde once said, “It was only in the theatre that I lived.”
